A new article reviews the literature of quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG) that documents abnormal brain wave patterns accompanying several medical conditions. The research implies that neurofeedback training may partially or fully normalize these brain wave patterns, and improve the physical and mental functioning of people with these conditions. She had been in full-time private practice in Beverly Hills since 1975 and was internationally renowned for her work with brain injury and in bringing patients out of coma, as well as in many other clinical applications of Neurofeedback.

Medical News Today: EEG Brain Activity Differs Between Poor And Rich Kids

US researchers examining the EEG (electroencephalograph) brain patterns of 9 and 10-year old children found that compared to children from wealthier socioeconomic backgrounds, those from poorer socioeconomic backgrounds had a noticeably lower level of activity in the prefrontal cortext, the part of the brain that is important for creativity and problem solving. This is reported to be the first study to show that the brains of low income kids behave differently to those of high income kids.
